Big Eye POS Technology has been in business since 2004 serving customers across the United States. With over 5,000 POS installations our goal is to analyze your sales order process so that we can customize your inventory control, purchase order Process, point of sale, order taking, and bar coding system.

Big Eye POS Technology provides integrated technology and Dealer Services to Food Service and Specialty Retail industries. Our ongoing goal is to improve efficiency and efficacy for the Merchant while providing cost-effective POS technology, marketing/loyalty, and payment services to our clients with a personalized consultation and a turn-key point of sale solution. We offer a software suite that customizes solutions for a wide range of restaurants and retailers, from independent locations to national chains. Our focus is on helping our clients create meaningful relationships and providing genuine customer service.

Meet the Crew.

Gary – President

Gary Matherne began his career in the payment industry in 2001, serving in such roles as a general sales manager, VP sales and marketing, and the role of President.

Before the founding of Big Eye POS Technology, he was President for Bankcard Processing International. He started in the industry after his internship in Bankcard St. Louis. Mr. Matherne is a native of Metairie, Louisiana, and a graduate of Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri.

Mr. Matherne oversees all aspects of the operations, including client services, fraud prevention, Sales, account implementation, commissions, vendor relationships, and POS installation. Additionally, he serves on the Advisory Council for Priority Payment Systems LLC.

Eric McNamee – Director of Information and  Technology

Eric McNamee began his career in financial services in 2003. In 2007 he expanded his career as an investment adviser for a Wall Street firm in NYC. Moving to Florida in 2011, he began working for Big Eye POS Technology as the Director of Technology. Eric oversees the hardware and software installation for our point of sale solutions, network management, and API integrations. His knowledge of the industry helps Big Eye maintain our policy of always being a step or two ahead of industry advancements.

In his spare time, he enjoys going to his kids’ sporting events, metal forging, fishing, and tinkering with Raspberry Pi’s.

Sean – POS Installer

Upon graduating from the University of West Florida, Sean Jones began his career at Red Moss Media as an online advertising and marketing specialist.  In 2003, Sean took a Support Analyst position with Best Software, INC. Working directly with CPA firms, he assisted with best practices and support.  Sean entered the payment industry in 2008 as an outside sales representative.  In 2012, he took secured Big Eye POS Technologies VP of sales, overseeing marketing and sales teams, all while supporting customers.

Melody began her career in the merchant services industry in 2014 as a professional lead generator. Within six months, ​she ​​transitioned into the position of a sales representative for Big Eye POS Technology. Before starting ​her ​​career with Big Eye, ​Melody​ owned and operated Progress Employment, a permanent placement employment agency in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. ​She ​also maintained a branch office in Panama City, Florida. ​Melody brings 25 years of professional business-to-business sales experience. ​Her ​ability to pinpoint and identify the needs of prospective clients, coupled with strong customer service skills, have built​ long-lasting relationships and ​helped to ​grow ​the Priority Payment Systems Gulf Coast customer base. ​Melody is a native of Fort Walton Beach, Florida and, resides on the beautiful Gulf Coast of Northwest Florida.

Ryoma – Tier 2 Technician

Ryoma moved to Gulf Breeze in 2007 from Tokyo, Japan. He then attended Gulf Breeze elementary, middle, and high school. After Graduation, he was accepted to the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida, to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. He obtained his Bachelor’s of Science and shortly after started with Big Eye POS Technology in July of 2021.
