Switching from Clover POS to Revel Systems POS

At Bergeron’s Boudin & Cajun Meats, we use quality ingredients when creating our Cajun Specialty Meats. Our famous Smoked Chicken Wings have just the right amount of our Cajun Red Rub seasoning and our Chicken & Sausage Gumbo will make you feel like you’re on da bayou. If you’re craving Cajun, then Bergeron’s is a must-stop destination that offers a variety of products.
Using Clover they were unable to keep up with their orders and paid relatively high merchant services fees. We showed the franchise the Revel POS solution which simplified their checkout process immensely while also reducing their fees overall. One of their main issues to overcome was how poorly Clover handled their tech support. Priority Payment Systems Gulf Coast streamlined their POS and provided dedicated training and support for the system.
Issues With Their Old System
The owners of Bergeron’s of Bossier City & Shreveport felt they needed a better system in place to better handle their entire operations. Taking savings out of the equation they were able to look at what they needed all together.
Clover is cloud based just like Revel but does not offer what Revel offers with dynamic business management.
We showed Bergeron’s how partnering with Priority Payment Systems Gulf Coast would help increase their revenue streams by integration with Revel’s Online Ordering application so their customers can buy and ship online.

Our installation allowed all of this as a default without any issues during the setup process or while using the system. The accuracy of ordering alone has sped up the checkout time to the point where customers are being greeted, sold and out of the door almost too quickly. Combined with the Till management they know where every dollar that comes in the store goes from the time it leaves the customers wallet to when its deposited into their bank account.
The reporting alone has reduced the amount of work their management has to put in to run the day-to-day operations.
Choice between Revel direct or Priority Gulf Coast?
Revel Systems LLC was working with the Bergeron’s franchise as well at the time Bergeron’s changed from Clover. We showed their management how working with a Revel dealer helped benefit their business structure because the support was direct for both POS and Merchant Services.
This was the strongest selling point for me of PPS Gulf Coast. The ability of a Big Name POS System like Revel is not nearly as useful/successful for smaller businesses that do not have the time/resources to constantly be chasing down questions and issues with a call center. PPS Gulf Coast is extremely accessible, knowledgeable, and prompt with any issues that I have had with Revel or CC Processing. The savings alone have paid for the entire Revel POS”
